About UsL'Unico Trattoria started life as a small BYO in 1994. Set in an Idyllic location on the waterfront at Trinity Beach about 20km north of Cairns, the word soon spread, and L'Unico quickly became a regular dining spot for tourists and locals alike.In 1997, after three years at Trinity Beach we moved just 400 metres further along the beachfront to take advantage of even better ocean views and new, larger premises complete with wood-fired pizza oven and cocktail bar. Today, after having served thousands of guests from all over the world, L'Unico continues to uphold the traditions they started with - to serve great food at reasonable prices! |

| Gordon Kean - an Aquarian Tiger With many years experience managing Italian Restaurants in Sydney, Gordon started the ball rolling with the original L'Unico in 1994. While on a trip to the far north, Gordon found the allure of the region so great, he soon packed his bags and moved to Queensland. The rest as they say ...is history. Most days, Gordon can be found drinking copious quantities of coffee at one of the corner tables. Gordon's Interests include: Golf, Liverpool Football Club, sewing, and Liverpool Football Club. |
| Aldo Da Vanzo - a Piscean Ox Aldo, who spent his youth growing up with Gordon in Sydney, also has a long history in the Restaurant business; both in England and Australia. But the challenge of the Links golf course at Port Douglas proved irresistible for Aldo - he headed north and joined L'Unico in 1998. Aldo's Interests include: Golf, Chelsea Football Club, Golf, and Chelsea Football Club. |
| Stuart Spencer - a Virgo Horse Stuart on the other hand, has no interest whatsoever in soccer which caused a few problems in the early days, but these have now been worked through. Stuart's Interests include: Mustangs, money, men's fashion and hairdressing. |
